Humankind

Where do we go
When we leave this world behind?
There’s something more
For God made us ‘humankind’.
Not like a bug
Or a bird, or crocodile.
They live and die
For they have no lasting soul. . .

There’s nothing wrong with living things
A beast, a bird, or fish.
But something’s wrong if we decide
God made them just like us!

Life is a stage
And we all must play our part.
It’s good and bad
But some day it all must stop.
While there is time
Stop and pray, ask God for help.
We are so lost
But God’s Son can give us light. . .

There’s nothing wrong with living things
A beast, a bird, or fish.
But something’s wrong if we decide
God made them just like us!

God who made us
Give us faith that we might see.
Eternal life
Is His gift for you and me.
Though we rebelled
And are blinded by our sin.
When we repent
All in Christ will be forgiven. . .

There’s nothing wrong with living things
A beast, a bird, or fish.
But something’s wrong if we decide
God made them just like us!

‘So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.’
[Genesis 1:27]
